That feeling of boredom and dissatisfaction which seems to permeate life sometimes is universal. Life demands constant change. Life is constant change. Tigers in the wild always have something to do, and it’s usually life or death. In a zoo, they become bored, agitated, and develop health problems.

Imagine being that tiger. You’re trapped, you can’t get out. Everything is so easy for you that you have nothing to do. Just wait around all day for something to happen. Maybe you’ll get fed. Maybe it’ll rain. Maybe that fat little bastard throwing rocks at you will fall over the railing. You’ve been sitting in that enclosure for so many years you’ve forgotten how good it felt back in the jungles of Burma to creep up behind a person and rip his spine out, eight hundred pounds of man-eating killing machine. Then you remember, and you weep for your lost tiger-ness. You’re nothing but a pet now.

Philosophically speaking, we’re all going to die someday and it’s probably going to be quite painful. Hopefully it will be a surprise. Hopefully it will be quick. Fortunately, most of us are going to have to wait for it for awhile.

What to do in the meantime? Many people forget themselves in the routine of work and family. They seem to be waiting for something interesting to happen. Their lives are relatively easy as they don’t face the life or death challenges of the jungle, so they become passive. They become content just watching things.

Not us. Not you. We’re not pets. We don’t wait for things to happen. We make them happen.

That’s why Bitch Kitty Racing is here. It’s time to have some fun. It’s time to remember we’re tigers, make a mighty leap over the railing, and whack that kid.
